What’s not to like about the Pints & Plates event? You’ll spend fun and quality time talking about and enjoying some fantastic craft beers with delicious food. We’ll showcase the food and beer of Roanoke’s premiere Brewpub. We’ll talk about (and taste for yourself) the basic principles of pairing beer with your food. We’ll go behind the scenes to see where the magic happens in the brewery and learn more about the history, ingredients, and passion it takes to produce quality craft beer. All food and beverage tastings are included with your ticket price.
Why Join Us?
If you love craft beer, this is an easy decision. But we’ve found that those guests who aren’t avid craft beer drinkers enjoy this experience just as much! When did you last pair a stout or porter with chocolate mousse? Maybe never. If not, you haven’t lived!
Bring your friends and family, and meet new friends as well. Together, we’ll learn, laugh, drink, and eat. You’ll never again take the beer selection at your next meal for granted!
Some of the things we’ll do and see.
Beer & food pairings – We’ll share a toast to start, then learn the principles of pairing beer with food. We’ll ask philosophical questions such as: What food goes best with an IPA? A dark stout or porter? Can the beer you drink really influence the taste of your meal? You bet!
Show & Tell & Tour – We’ll visit the grain room in the brewery and examine various malted barley varieties. Have you examined hops flowers closely? The aroma is amazing.
Beer History 101 – We’ll discuss the history of brewing beer and how it was discovered by accident.
Beer & Food Pairing Guide – Each guest will receive a booklet with beer pairing ideas to help you put into practice the information you learned. We’ll discuss the ideal beer style for your next big meal.
Questions & Answers – We enthusiastically encourage guest questions; it’s one of our favorite parts of this lively portion of our time together.

We may be able to arrange private event dates for up to 20 guests – it’s the perfect fun outing for wedding parties, birthdays, company functions, and other groups.

We provide four courses of food in the “brunch” portion of the event. Collectively, there’s enough food to satisfy most all guests. There is approximately 24-25 oz. of beer served during the event.

Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, food allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can usually accommodate your needs.

Yes! We’ve found that guests that introduce themselves as “not a big fan of craft beer,” are often the guests that enjoy the event the most. All it takes is an open mind, willingness, and a great attitude.

Yes, the event is inside. Because of this there is not much walking at all, but there is a short stair case we use to go back into the brewhouse.
