Fun & Tasty Valentine’s Ideas in Roanoke

on January 29, 2018

Bundle up and Get Outside!

Fall in Love with your favorite hiking spots all over again when you experience them in their  winter splendor.  February is usually one of those months where I want to stay inside by the fireplace, but after seeing my friends’ beautiful frozen photos of waterfalls and rivers in my Facebook feed all month, I’ve changed my mind.   Bundle up and explore our area hikes for a completely different experience.  Our favorite falls, Cascades, in Pembroke, VA are also close to picturesque dining at The Palisades restaurant in Pembroke and Mountain Lake Lodge, making for a romantic getaway.   Get the scoop on all of our area hikes from our friends at Roanoke Outside.

Some say lightning never strikes twice. If you feel that way about finding your partner in crime, consider purchasing a gift certificate to Tour Roanoke’s new Moonshine tour, a sure to be popular, upcoming tour of the distilleries in Franklin and Henry Counties.  You’ll learn about the history and culture of the famous White Lighting as you sample moonshine. Cheers!
