WHAT TO EXPECT
Great Beer, Food & Fun!
What’s not to like about Brunch with the Brewer? You’ll spend fun quality time with a master brewer talking about and enjoying some of his favorite beers with some of his favorite foods. We’ll showcase the food and beer of Roanoke’s only Brewpub. We’ll talk about the fundamentals principles of pairing beer with food. Then we’ll go behind the scenes to experience firsthand the sights, sounds, and aromas of the brewing process and learn more about the skill and passion it takes to produce quality craft beer. All food and beverage tastings are included in the ticket price.
Why Join Us?
If you love craft beer, this is an easy decision. But we’ve found that those guests that aren’t avid craft beer lovers, maybe even skeptics, enjoy this experience just as much! When was the last time you paired a stout or porter with chocolate mousse? Maybe never. If not, you haven’t lived!
Bring your friends and family, perhaps new friends as well. Together we’ll learn, laugh, drink and eat. You’ll never again take for granted the beer selection at your next meal!
Some of the things we’ll do and see.
Beer & food pairings – We’ll share a toast to start, then learn the principles of pairing beer with food. What food goes best with an IPA? A dark stout or porter? Can we really enjoy beer for brunch? You bet!
Brewing! – We’ll see the mashing of the grain – it’s wort. Then before we conclude, if all goes well, the wort will be boiling. We’ll be brewing! The aroma is earthy and wonderful.
Show & Tell time – we’ll visit the grain room at the brewery and examine various malted barley varieties. Have you examined hops flowers closely, the aroma is amazing.
Beer History 101 – we’ll talk about the history of brewing beer and how it was discovered by accident.
Beer & Food Pairing Guide – each guest will receive a booklet with beer pairing ideas to help you put into practice the information you learned.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We provide four courses of food in the “brunch” portion of the event. Collectively, there’s enough food to satisfy most all guests. There is approximately 24-25 oz. of beer served during the event.
Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, food allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can usually accommodate your needs.
Yes! We’ve found that guests that introduce themselves as “not a big fan of craft beer,” are often the guests that enjoy the event the most. All it takes is an open mind, willingness, and a great attitude.
Yes, the event is inside. Because of this there is not much walking at all, but there is a short stair case we use to go back into the brewhouse.
